1 c. butter
2 c. brown sugar
3 eggs
1 T. vanilla
3 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375.º. Cream together butter and brown sugar. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Add flour, soda, cream of tartar and salt. Shape into two rolls on wax paper. Wrap and chill. Slice 1/4" thick and bake 8-10 minutes. Can add nuts, raisins, or chocolate chips
