1 3-4 pound pork loin roast cut into 3 chucks

pepper
2 Tbs vegetable oil
1 large onion
8 cloves garlic
4 cups root beer (NOT diet)
1 12 oz bottle of chili sauce

Directions:
Directions:
Season pork chunks with salt and pepper. Heat oil and sear pork until lightly brown on all sides. Place meat in slow cooker. Cut onion into thin rings, peel garlic and pound until flat. Add both to slow cooker. Pour in 1 cup root beer. Cook on low 8-10 hours.
For sauce: Combine 3 cups root beer with chili sauce in 3-4 quart sauce pan. Bring to a boil then simmer for 1 hour until reduced to about 2 cups. Remove meat from slow cooker when done. Discard onions and garlic off meat. Let meat rest 20-30 minutes then use 2 forks to pull apart meat into fine shreds. Toss shredded pork with sauce - serve on buns.
