1½ lb round steak, cut at meat market paper-thin lengthwise, across the grain
Mustard (yellow or spicy)
½ lb bacon, cooked and broken into pieces
½ onion, finely chopped
Salt and pepper to taste
Canola oil

Directions:
Directions:
1. Smile.
2. Lay out strips.
3. Salt and pepper strips.
4. Layer mustard thinly.
5. Add chopped onions.
6. Add bacon pieces.
7. Roll the strips while folding in the sides to hold in ingredients.
8. Preheat oven to 350º.
9. Grease baking pan with canola oil.
10. In heated skillet with canola oil, brown outside of strips.
11. Add strips to baking pan and bake for an hour or until done—should be tender.

Chris's note: “Gram ate these first out at the German Club [Fort Wayne, IN] and then later helped prepare them there. She brought the recipe home and served it for special occasions. Mashed potatoes were a common side item because of the gravy you can make after preparing this dish.”
