1 cup sugar
2 cups dates chopped
2 cups nuts chopped
4 eggs
2 tbsp flour
4 tbsp milk
1 tsp baking powder

Combine ingredients in a bowl and place bowl in pan of water in preheated 300º oven. Steam for one hour.

This was a Thanksgiving and Christmas dessert in Frederick. I did not like it until I grew up.
