2 medium acorn squash (about 1 1/4 pounds each)
1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
1 cup chopped pecans, toasted

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 350. Cut acorn squash in half and remove seeds. Pace squash, cut side up, in a shallow baking dish. Add boiling water to a depth of 1/2 inch in pan. Combine brown sugar, butter and chopped apple. Spoon into squash shells. Cover and bake for 1 hour or until squash is tender. Sprinkle with pecans, if desired
