1 medium head of cabbage sliced thin.
1 medium onion
salt and pepper1 can water chestnuts - sliced
1 small jar pimento
1 can cream of celery soup
greated cheddar cheese` can french fried onions

Directions:
Directions:
Boil cabbage and diced onions in salted water until tender. Drain. In 3 qt. casserole layer cabbage, chestnuts and pimento. Add soup andsprinkle with cheese -- as much as you wish. Ruth used a butter swiss. Bake until weel heated through. Put oinions on top and bake 5 minutes longer. 350 degrees for longer.
