2 1/2 c flour
1/2 c shortening
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 c granulated sugar
1/2 c butter
2 tsp vanilla
1 egg
2 tbsp milk
Directions:
Directions:
heat oven at 375º
Start with all ingredients at room temperature.
Stir together flour, baking soda and set aside.
Blend butter shortening, sugar and vanilla with egg until fluffy.
Stir into flour mixture until smooth.
Stir in milk.
Drop by tsp onto greased baking sheet.
Flatten with bottom of glass dipped in sugar.
Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
