4-5 large baking apples
1 prepared pie dough (chilled)
1 cup sugar
2 cups butter
3 cups flour
1/2 cup unseasoned bread crumbs
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 tsp. vanilla
1 cup sour cream

Directions:
Directions:
Peel apples. Core in half. Score into diamond shape. Put pie crust in spring form pan, half way up sides add crumbs. Add apple halves round side up. Fill spaces with extra apple pieces. Mix juice of lemon, 1/2 cup cream, 2 eggs, 2 tbsp. cornstarch, sugar vanilla and sour cream in bowl. Beat with whisk. Pour over apples. Bake at 375º for 1-1 1/2 hours. Coat with apricot preserves.
