1 chicken, cut in large serving pieces.
Flour, salt and pepper,
6 T. butter,
2 T. Flour,
3/4 cup chicken broth,
1/2 cup Rose' wine,
1/4 cup green onions, thinly sliced,
1/2 cup mushrooms, saute'ed in butter,
1 9oz. pkg. frozed artichoke hearts cooked according to package directions.

Dust chicken with seasoned flour. Melt 4 T. butter in shallow baking pan. Place chicken in pan, skin side down. bake uncovered in modrate oven 350 to 375º for about 45 min. until almost tender. Melt the other 2 T. butter in saucepan. Stir in flour. add broth and wine. cook, stirring constantly, until thickened and smooth. Remove chicken from oven. Turn pieces over, sprinkle with onions, mushrooms and cooked artichokes. (Water chestnuts or thinly sliced fresh tomatoes may be substituted for artichoke hearts. Pour sauce over chicken and return to oven, reduce heat to 325º bake about 25 min. longer. Serve with rice and fresh asparagus.
