3 cups brewed coffee
1 box raisins
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. sugar
2 heaping tsp. Crisco
1 tsp. ground clove
1 tsp nutmeg

3 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 pinch salt
2 eggs left standing (not cold from refrigerator)
1 c. chopped walnuts

Mapelene Frosting
Directions:
Directions:
Boil together first 7 ingredients 5 minutes. Let stand overnight until completely cool (cold). Better if left in refrigerator.

Mix all dry ingredients, two eggs and coffee mixture well. Add one cup chopped walnuts.

Bake in angel food pan at 350 until done ( approximately 1hr. or until cake tester comes out clean).

Frost with Mapelene frosting
