3 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
2 tbsp. water
1 tsp. vanilla
1 pkg. Starlight Mints
Directions:
Directions:
Sift together flour, soda and salt. Set aside. Cream together rest of ingredients. Add flour mixture and blend together. Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours. Wrap dough around mints sealing cookie. Place on greased cookie sheet at 375º for 10-12 minutes.

We used to make these cookies all the time at Christmas. It's one of my fond memories I have of making these with my mom and sisters at Christmas time.
