2/3 cups butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 cup flour
3/4 tsp baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
1/3 juice of cherries
1/3 cup milk
1 cup quartered maraschino cherries
(30 - 40)
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. almond extract

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar very well. Add the unbeaten eggs, one at a time beating well after each addition. Add sifted dry ingredients to the batter alternately with juice of cherries and milk. Add cherries and the extracts. Place in a well greased loaf pan. Bake at 325ºF
(160ºC) for one and a half hours. Cool in pan. Wrap well.
