Apple Pie Recipe

1 c. sugar
1/3 c. flour
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cinnamon
dash salt
8 c. thinly sliced pared tart apples
3 tbsp. butter or margarine

Crumb Topping
1 c. flour
1/2 c. firm butter or margarine
1/2 c. brown sugar, packed

Directions:
Directions:
Heat over to 425ºF. Stir together sugar, flour, nutmeg, cinnamon and salt; mix with apples. Pour into pastry-line pie pan.

Mix crumb topping ingredients until crumbly. Pour onto apples.

Bake 50 minutes. Cover crumb topping with aluminum foil last 10 minutes of baking, if top browns too quickly. Cool before serving.
