1 cube margarine, water, buttermilk, cocoa powder, sugar, salt, flour, soda, vanilla, cinnamon, eggs, powdered sugar, milk

Preheat oven to 350. In saucepan melt 1 cube margarine, 1 cup water..boil, add 4 tbsp cocoa powder, take off heat mix together well. Sift 2 cups flour, 2 cups sugar. Pour cocoa mixture over and mix well. Add 1 tsp soda, 1 tsp. vanilla, 1/2 tsp cinnamon, 1/2 cup buttermilk, 2 beaten eggs. Mix together well. Add to a greased cookie sheet and bake for about 20-30 minutes, cool cake. For Frosting: Mix 1 cube of butter, 6 tbsp of milk, boil. Add 3 tbsp cocoa powder, and 1 pkg powdered sugar, 1 tsp vanilla...Mix together until blended, cool, frost cake.

My son Bill's favorite birthday cake ever .. he first had it at about age 3 and still loves it at age 44! One of my dear Medford, Oregon friends provided this yummy cake and lots of wonderful memories.
