1 1/3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1/2 c.shortening
2 Tbsp. cocoa powder
1/2 cup buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
cream shortening, add sugar,salt,and vanilla, cream well,add egg,and chocolate,
sift flour,baking soda and baking powder together,add to creamed mixture,alternately with the buttermilk
drop by tsp. on cookie sheet
350 º frost when warm
frosting;
1 1/2 c.powder sugar
1/2 c. cocoa
2 Tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. vanillia
