1/4 c butter
4- 1 oz squares unsweetened baking chocolate
2 c all purpose flour
2 c sugar
4 eggs
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 c chopped walnuts or pecans
Powdered sugar

Directions:
In a 1 quart saucepan melt butter and chocolate over low heat 8-10 minutes, cool.

In a large mixer bowl, combine melted chocolate and all remaining ingredients except 1 cup of the flour, the nuts and the powdered sugar. Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until well mixed, 2-3 minutes.
By hand stir in remaining 1 cup flour and nuts. Cover, refrigerate until firm, about 2 hours or overnight.
Heat oven to 300 ºF. Shape rounded teaspoonfuls of dough into 1 inch balls; roll in powdered sugar. Place 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheets. Bake in preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until firm to the touch.
