2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2 sticks butter or margarine, VERY COLD
3/4 c.brown sugar
3/4 c. white sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1 package milk choc. chips
2 cups chopped walnut halves

Ok, you are thinking that this looks an awful lot like the regular nestle choc. chip cookie recipe...and it does. But my trick is what makes it 'mine.'
Keep the butter COLD the entire time. Like, really cold. Your result will be really fluffy, chewy choc. chip cookies. Delicious! So keep your butter or margarine in the fridge or freezer until you begin. Then between batches, put the dough in the freezer as you bake! No joke, it makes them really good.
Mix flour, soda and salt in a small bowl.
Mix cold, cold, cold butter, both sugars and vanilla.
Mix in eggs one at a time.
Add flour mixture.
Add package of choc. chips. I use milk chocolate.
Add nuts. I use 2 cups instead of 1.
Bake at 375º for 11 minutes. I make them nice and big. Let cook on rack. Enjoy.
