Pudding:
1 1/2 c sugar
2 T flour
2 T cocoa

1/2 stick butter

Meringue:
3 egg whites
3 T sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Mix sugar, flour, cocoa in black skillet. Add milk and egg yolks, and butter. Cook until thick. We normally ate this as a pudding, but you can pour it into 9" baked pie shell and put meringue on it.

Meringue:
Beat egg whites until peak forms, add sugar slowly and beat. Pour over pie and bake at 325º until golden brown.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
This is pudding Granny would make, it was always so good! I can just see her now standing at the stove mixing it in black skillet. We usually just had pudding when we were kids. No time to make pies!
