1 bottom round beef roast
garlic powder
onions, sliced
1/2 c. flour
water
1 c. burgundy or dry red wine
2 beef bouillion cubes
potatoes, halved
carrots, sliced lengthwise

Directions:
Directions:
Sprinkle roast with garlic powder and season with pepper. Brown on all sides in a little bit of oil in an oven-proof Dutch oven or casserole on top of the stove. Add lots of sliced onion. In a large measuring cup or bowl, mix 1/2 c. flour with enough water to make 3/4 c. Add 1 c. of wine and 1 c. of water. Combine. Pour over the roast and add bouillion cubes. Cover and bake at 350º for 2 1/2 to 3 hours until tender, turn once.

Add the potato and carrots 1 hour and 15 minutes before the roast is done. Baste frequently.
