1 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
2 large eggs
2 c. flour
1 c. regular oats
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 c. flaked coconut
1 c. rice krispies
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Beat shortening at medium speed with an electric mixer until fluffy and add sugars, beating well. Add eggs, beating until blended. Combine flour and next 4 ingredients; gradually add to sugar mixture, beating until blended. Stir in coconut, cereal, vanilla, and pecans. Drop by tablespoonfuls onto baking sheet. Bake at 350º for 10 minutes or until lightly golden. Remove to wire racks to cool.
