1 lb. boneless round steak
1/3 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup water
2 tbsp. brown sugar
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. cornstarch
1 tbsp. oil
4 cups broccoli florets
1 large onion, cut in wedges
1/4 cup water
hot cooked rice

Partially freeze steak. Slice across grain and into thin strips. Set aside. Combine next 6 ingredients to make marinade. Mix well and add steak. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour. Drain steak, reserving marinade. Pour oil into preheated (hot) wok, Stir-fry steak 2-3 minutes, until just browned. Remove meat and set aside. Add broccoli, onion, and water to wok. Cover and lower heat. Steam 3-5 minutes, until broccoli is tender. Stir in steak and marinade. Cook 2 minutes, stirring constantly until thickened. Serve over hot rice. Serves 4-6.
