3 c. chopped onion
2 t. minced garlic
2 large #10 cans of puree
1/2 #10 can of paste (56oz.)
3 #10 cans of water
1/4 c. salt
2 t. black pepper
1 t. Oregano
1 good pinch of Basil
Sugar to taste (about 1 c.)

Directions:
Directions:
Saute onions and garlic in some olive oil or butter. Mix all ingredients together and cook slowly in large pot over stove or roaster.

Brown 2 packages of Italian sausage and add to sauce for better flavor.

Cook meatballs in sauce for better flavoring.

Cook for several hours at 300 degrees (keep a watch so sauce does not scorch) or until the meat is done and sauce is desired consistency.

Spices are to taste as is the sugar. Cook time varies as to how high the temperature and the consistency desired. The It. Sausage is for flavor so how hot you want it is also personal preference!!
