1 ¾ un-sifted flour
2 cups of sugar
¾ cocoa
1 ½ tsp baking soda
1 ½ tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
2 eggs
1 cup of milk
½ cup of vegetable oil
2 tsp vanilla
1 cup of boiling water

Directions:
Directions:
Combine the dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Add eggs, milk, oil and vanilla; beat a medium speed for 2 minutes.
Remove form mixer and stir in the boiling water (batter will be thin).
Pour into 2 greased and floured cake pans, either 2-9inch rounds, or 13 x 9 inch pan. ( 8 inch round will be too small).
Bake at 350° for 30-35 minutes or when the toothpick comes out clean from the center of the cake. Let cool for 10 minutes before removing form the cake pan and cooling on a wire rack.
I frost this cake with Mom’s traditional butter cream frosting or a have used a chocolate ganache coating.
