½ cup butter
2 egg whites
1 dash of salt
1 cup walnut halves
1 cup pecan halves

Directions:
Spread almonds evenly on an ungreased baking sheet. Roast at 325º for 15 minutes or until lightly browned, stirring occasionally; remove from oven and cool. Place butter in a 13 x 9 inch pan; place in oven to melt butter.

Beat egg whites in a large mixing bowl at high speed with an electric mixer until stiff peaks form. Gradually add sugar and salt, beating until mixture is stiff (2 to 4 minutes). Gently fold in almonds, walnuts and pecans; spread nut mixture evenly over melted butter in pan. Bake the mixture in the oven until browned. You will need to turn the nut mixture during baking to ensure the mixture bakes evenly.

Personal Notes:
My sister Leah shared this recipe with me after I begged her for it repeatedly. I first tasted them when she had made a batch for a family get together at Christmas time. You will love the heavenly aroma while the nuts bake in the oven and they taste even better! I make this recipe to share with others as a gift during the holidays. I usually put them in a decorated tin or jar.
