1/2 c. shortening
1 c. butter or margarine (softened)
3 c. sugar
5 eggs.
3 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. cocoa
1 1/4 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and butter; gradually add sugar, beating well at medium speed of an electric mixer. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition. Sift flour, baking powder, salt, and cocoa together on separate bowl. Add to creamed mixture alternately with milk, beginning and ending with flour mixture. Mix just until blended after each addition. Stir in vanilla. Pour batter into greased and floured 10 inch tube pan (bunt cake pan). Bake at 350º for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until wooded tooth pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan 10-15 minutes; remove from pan and let completely cool on wire rack.
