Ingredients:
Yellow cake mix
3/4 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup melted margarine or butter
2 eggs
2 cups chopped dates
1 1/2 cups chopped walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 350º. Grease 13 x 9 pan. In large bowl, combine cake mix & brown sugar. Add melted butter & eggs, beat 2 minutes at medium speed. In another bowl, combine dates & walnuts. Stir this into cake batter. Spread evenly in pan. Bake for 35 minutes or so. Edges should be brown, but don't overbake. Cool for 1 hour before serving (however, we always sneak a warm bar with a glass of milk!). These tend to dry out quickly, so keep them wrapped tightly.
