3 c. flour
3 c. sugar
5 eggs
3 sticks margarine
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. lemon or almond flavoring

Directions:
Directions:
Cream margarine and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition. Sift dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture, alternating with milk. Add flavoring. Bake in a greased and floured tube ban at 350 for 1 hour and 15 minutes to 1 hour 20 minutes. Do not open oven during baking.
Chocolate variation: Add 1/2 cup cocoa and a pinch of salt to dry ingredients.
