2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. butter
2 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
2 eggs, unbeaten
4 tbsp. milk
2 c. corn toasties
2 c. quick oatmeal
1 1/2 c. salted peanuts, chopped
1/2 c. coconut
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Sift flour once, measure, add baking powder, soda, salt, and sift again.Cream shortening, add sugar gradually, and cream together until light and fluffy. Add eggs and beat well. Add flour alternately with milk, mixing well after each addition. Add corn toasties, coconut, oatmeal, and salted peanuts and blend. Drop by tsp. on greased baking sheet., flatten lightly with fork. Add a little milk if too dry. Bake in moderate oven for about 8 minutes or until done.
