1/3 cup milk
3 tbsp sugar
1 large yeast cake
1 lb butter
5 cups all-purpose flour
6 egg yolks (save whites for filling)
4 whole eggs
pinch of salt
powdered sugar


Filling:

6 egg whites
2 cups sugar
2 lbs ground walnuts
1/8 lb butter
1/3 cup evaporated milk

Directions:
Directions:
Warm milk and 3 tbsp sugar. Combine cake of yeast into warm milk. Set aside to rise. Should double.
Mix like pie crust - butter & flour. Blend well and make a well in the middle of mixture and add: egg yolks, whole eggs and salt. Then add the yeast mixture. Mix well and make into a dough. Refrigerate for 8 hours.
Filling - Beat egg whites into a meringue and add sugar, ground walnuts, butter and evaporated milk. Warm butter and milk. Add warmed butter and milk to walnuts. Then add the meringue and mix well. Roll dough in small amount, spread with filling and roll in horns, Roll the nut horns in powdered sugar. Bake at 350º for 15 minutes.
