1 1/2 C very warm water
1 Tbsp oil
1 Tbsp sugar
1 tsp salt
1 pkg yeast
4 C flour

Directions:
Directions:
Put the 1/2 C water in small bowl and add yeast. Put 1 C water in large bowl. Add salt, oil and sugar. Add yeast & water mixtune. Stir well. Add flout 1 cup at a time and beat well. Knead in remaining flour. Let rise 10 minutes. Then punch down. Do this step 3 or 4 times then place on floured board and divide into two parts. Roll each part out quite thin, then roll up like a jelly roll to make a long loaf. Slash top of each loaf diagonally (about six times), Place on greased cookie sheet and let rise 1 1/2 hours. Bake at 350º for 30 - 35 minutes. Brush top with butter. Serve with garlic butter.
