1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. milk
3 eggs

Mix 2 c. and 2 Tbsp. flour, 2 rounded tsp. baking powder and 1/2 tsp. salt. Add to first mix by hand or mixer. Add 1 tsp. vanilla. Bake in 9 x 13 greased pan. 350º for 35 minutes.

Sauce

4 c. sugar
1/2 c. cocoa (more if you want?)
Stir those together.
Add about 1 1/4 c. milk
1 cube butter
Dash salt

Stir till comes to a boil.
*Important* Quit stirring, turn down heat, boil until soft ball. Take off heat. Gently dip and pour over each cut piece of cake.
