1 qt. milk
1 c. sugar
3 eggs
2 pkgs. yeast in 1/4 c. warm water with a bit of sugar
1 tbsp. salt
1 c. oil
11 c. flour

Directions:
Directions:
Heat milk to scalding. Cool, add sugar, eggs, salt, and oil. Add yeast, stir in flour, and knead lightly. Let rise. Punch down and let rise again.

(Susan) Years ago, I remember being told that Grandma used to get up before Grandpa in the morning to mix the bread dough. By the time he was getting up to do chores, the dough was ready to be set aside to rise. Grandma would place the dough to rise under the bed covers while the bed was still warm. I was telling this to my children when they were about 3 and 5 years old. The next morning, I rolled over in bed onto something lumpy. Josh had put some dinner rolls under the blanket next to me!
