4 Grapefruit
1 large can crushed pineapple
1/2 cup or more sugar
1/2 cup water
gingerale (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Peel and remove membrane from grapefruit. Place in a bowl and add undrained pineapple. Boil sugar with water until dissolved. Cool and add to grapefruit. Freeze in container. Thaw about 1/2 hour before serving. Spoon into glasses and add ginger ale.
