1 cup sugar
1/2 cup heavy cream
3 Tbsp. dark corn syrup
Dash baking soda
Dash salt
1-2 cups pecan halves
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
In a heavy 2 qt. saucepan, turn the sugar, cream, syrup, soda, and salt over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves. Bring to a boil. Boil without stirring to 234° on a candy thermometer ( softball stage). Remove from heat. Add pecans and vanilla and stir until creamy and mixture covers pecans with a slightly opaque coating.
Drop heaping teaspoonfuls upon layered wax paper. Cool completely. Store between layers of wax paper in a tightly covered container.
