1/3 cup sugar
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
2 pkg. active dry yeast
5-6 cups flour
1 1/4 milk
1/3 cup butter
2 eggs
4 cups salad oil (for frying)

GLAZE:
1/2 cup honey
2/3 cup powdered sugar

Directions:
Directions:
In a large bowl, combine first 5 ingredients and 1 1/2 cups flour. Heat the milk and butter until warm (120º-130º). With mixer on low speed, gradually pour liquid into dry ingredients. Increase speed to medium.
Add eggs and beat two more minutes. Stir in flour (about 2 cups) to make a very soft dough.
Turn dough onto lightly floured surface and knead 5 minutes. Place in greased bowl and cover. Let rise until double. Punch down and turn onto lightly floured surface. Cover and let rest for 15 minutes.
Roll 1/4” thick and use a 3 1/2” circle cutter. Put on greased cookie sheets and let rise, covered for 1 hour.
Heat oil to 370°. Fry 1 minute / side. Drain on paper
towels and frost with glaze.
GLAZE: Mix honey and powdered sugar until smooth.
