Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 loaf (1 lb.) French or Italian bread, cut in to ½-inch slices
2 tbsp. Dijon mustard
8 oz. thinly sliced deli ham
8 oz. thinly sliced deli Swiss cheese
4 eggs (or more if you like)
2 c. milk
¼ c. grated Parmesan cheese (I use the fresh kind)
¼ c plain bread crumbs
2 tbsp. chopped fresh parsley
3 tbsp. butter or margarine, melted

Directions:
Directions:
Arrange the bread slices in ungreased 13x9 inch glass baking dish. Overlap slices as needed. Brush bread in the baking dish with mustard. Top with ham and Swiss cheese, overlapping as needed. Top with remaining bread slices, arranging them over the first layer of bread to make sandwiches.
Beat eggs and milk until blended. Carefully pour over sandwiches. Cover. Refrigerate at least 1 hour or overnight, but not over 12 hours.
Mix Parmesan cheese, bread crumbs, parsley, and butter. Set aside.
Heat oven to 375. Sprinkle crumb topping over casserole. Bake uncovered 30-35 minutes or until sandwiches are puffed and golden brown.
(If you refrigerate the dish overnight, add the crumb topping just before baking it the next day.)

Personal Notes:
Good when you want a change of pace from the sausage/egg casserole. Dijon mustard makes a difference too!)
