1/2 c. shortening
3/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
2 c. flour
1/2 pint sour cream
6 T. softened butter or margarine
1 c. brown sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. chopped walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together shortening, sugar and vanilla in large bowl. Cream softened butter, brown sugar, cinnamon and chopped walnuts. Add 3 eggs (singly) beating well after each. Sift together baking powder, baking soda and flour. Add to creamed alternatively with sour cream.

Grease side and 'tube' of coffee cake pan (use wax paper on 'tube').

Spread 1/2 batter in pan, 1/2 creamed mix on batter and repeat.

Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes.
