2 eggs
Whole chicken
2 ¼ cup flour
¾ tbsp salt
1 medium chopped onion
4 diced medium potatoes
¼ cup chopped celery
Salt & pepper to taste
1 ¼ tsp baking powder
3 tbsp shortening

Directions:
Directions:
Cook whole chicken until done, cool and debone. Add chopped onion, potatoes, celery, salt and pepper. Strain water that the chicken was cooked in and add all ingredients to the liquid. Add chopped chicken to liquid mixture (should be at least 1 qt of liquid). Cover and simmer for additional 20 minutes. DUMPLINGS: Combine 2 ¼ c flour, ¾ t salt, 1 ¼ tsp baking powder; cut in 3 T shortening; add 2 well beaten eggs and ½ c water. Stir just till moistened well; roll out very thin on floured board and cut into squares, approximately 2 inches. Drop into boiling broth. Stir once and cover tightly; simmer 10 minutes.
