5 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. sour cream
1 bag (16 oz.) chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
In a bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. In a separate bowl with a hand beater, mix shortening, sugar, eggs, vanilla and sour cream. Working in small batches, add the flour mixture into the wet mixture a little at a time until its well incorporated. Fold in the chocolate chips. Lightly flour hands and roll cookie dough into balls. Place on greased cookie sheets 1 1/2" apart. Bake 350º until slightly brown along the edges or when a toothpick comes clean from the center of the cookies.
