1 can chick peas (aka garbanzo beans) drained
2 T. freshly squeezed lemon
1 1/2 T. tahini
1/2 tsp. ground cumin
1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4-1/3 cup light olive oil

Directions:
Directions:
Combine ingredients in blender and puree a few minutes till smooth and desired creaminess. Add more olive oil to make creamier.

Serve with pita chips, wheat thins or raw vegetables like carrot or celery sticks.

I bought my tahini at International Pantry because I was short on time the first time I made it. It's about $5 for a jar that you will have for a year or longer. However, you can find it at Wal-mart, too.

My daughter likes to take this with veggies for her lunch. It's a wonderful protein and tasty lunch or snack.
