1/2 cup hot water
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 Tbsp. yeast
1/2 cup warm water
1 Tbsp. honey
1 1/2 cups warm water
2 tsp. salt
3 cups white flour
3 cups whole wheat flour
1 cup cracked wheat

Directions:
Directions:
Dissolve the yeast in the 1/2 cup hot water along with the honey. Dissolve the brown sugar in the other 1/2 cup hot water. Pour into mixer bowl. Then add the rest of the ingredients but only half of the flour at first. Add the rest of the flour until it's the right consistency. Form into loaves, cover, and let rise until doubled. Then bake at 400 º for 45 minutes.

I like the little crunch the cracked wheat gives this but you can leave it out if you prefer your bread more smooth.
