11/2C all purpose flour 1/2C cake flour 3Tbsp sugar 21/2tsp baking powder 3/4tsp salt
1/2tsp cinnamon 4oz. cold unsalted butter cut into
small pieces 1C-1/2 pint blueberries 1/2C butter-
milk 1egg & 1egg lightly beaten for egg wash 1/2tsp vanilla extract
Fine sugar and zest of 1 lemon for garnish.

Preheat oven to 375 degrees
In a large bowl whisk together dry ingredients. Cut
in the butter with a pastry cutter or fingers until
mixture is a coarse meal. Stir in the blueberries.
Whisk together buttermilk,egg and vanilla and drizzle over flour mixture and stir lightly with a fork
until dough forms but a small amount of flour remains in bowl. Turn out dough onto a work surface and knead dough once or twice to incorporate remaining flour. Pat dough into 1 inch
thick round and cut into 12 wedgesTransfer to parchment paper lined baking sheet and brush with
egg wash and top with fine sugar and lemon zest.
Bake in 375 oven until golden brown about 22 min.
and serve immediately.
