1 1/3 c. sugar
1/3 c. shortening
2 eggs
1 2/3 c. flour
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. salt
1/3 c. water
1/4 tsp. ground cloves
1 c. pumpkin

Cream together sugar, shortening and eggs. Mix well. Sift dry ingredients and spices into egg mixture. Add pumpkin and water. Pour into 1 large loaf pan.

Bale 350F for 1 hr.
