2 lbs. beef chuck, 1 inch thick, cut into strips
1 envelope onion soup mix
1/4 t. salt
Dash of pepper
1 green pepper, cut into strips
1/4 c. chopped onion
1 16-oz. can tomatoes (drain and reserve liquid)
1 tbsp. bottled steak sauce
1 tbsp. cornstarch

Directions:

Line a shallow roasting pan with aluminum foil, leaving a 1 1/2 inch collar around edges. Arrange meat in pan, slightly overlapping portions. Sprinkle with soup mix, salt and pepper. Top with green pepper and onion. Chop tomatoes; add to meat. Combine tomato liquid, steak sauce and cornstarch; pour over meat and vegetables. Cover with a piece of foil. To seal, fold edges up and over; press together. Bake at 350 degrees for 2 hrs or until tested done.

4-6 servings.
