2 cups of flour
3/4 cups sugar
1 tea. butter
2 cups milk
1 cup water
almond extract

Whip egg and put with sugar and salt. Mix flour with water and milk alternately. Put a large spoonful in a hot buttered frying pan. Turn quickly when light brown. You can roll with fruit preserves, or cinnamon and sugar, etc. Sprinkle with powered sugar or syrup.

This is a very old recipe from Dennis' grandmother. I know it was one of Dennis' favorites when Lil make them. Maggie and I did get some very good recipes from our mother-in-law who was a great cook!
