2 1/2 lbs. Russet potatoes
1 1/2 cups whole milk
1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream (carton)
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 Tbsp. chopped garlic
Salt & pepper & nutmeg to taste
1 cup swiss cheese, grated

Directions:
Bring to boil 8 cups Russet potatoes - cubed- in the pot with the milk, cream, onion and garlic seasonings.
Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 10 minutes.
Layer 1/2 potato mixture in a greased 4 quart casserole dish. Top with 1/2 swiss cheese. Keep layering....pour milk/cream over top. End with some cheese over the top.
Bake 25 minutes uncovered @ 450º.
