Ingredients:
Ingredients:
2 tbsp butter
1 small onion chopped
1/2 cup finely chopped red pepper
2 cloves garlic minced
3/4 cup chopped smoked salmon (not too small)
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup milk
1 tbsp fresh thyme (or 1/2 tsp dry)
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp fresh cracked black pepper
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 cups bow-tie pasta

Directions:
Directions:
In a large pot of boiling, well salted water, cook pasta until tender but firm. Drain and keep warm.
In sauce pan, melt butter over medium heat. Sauté the onions and red pepper for once minute. Add the garlic and sauté another minute. Add the smoked salmon and sauté 2 minutes. Raise heat to medium and add the cream, milk, thyme, salt, half of the black pepper and half of the Parmesan cheese. Immediately reduce heat to low. Stir gently until the mixture starts to thicken, about 5 minutes. Do not allow mixture to boil or cream will curdle. Pour sauce over pasta and toss gently. Sprinkle each serving with the remaining cheese and a grind of black pepper.

This recipe was originally from Ken Kostick's cookbook.....I have made it many times. It is so delicious. This recipe makes enough for two people...perfect for that romantic evening at home.
