1 1/2 lbs. lean ground beef
1 c. cracker crumbs
2 beaten eggs
8oz. can tomato sauce
1/2 c. finely chopped onion
2 T. chopped green pepper
3/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. ground sage

Piquant Sauce:
6 T. brown sugar
1/2 c. ketchup
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
2 tsp. mustard

Directions:
Directions:
Mix the first 8 ingredients and from into 9 large or 12 small meatballs, and place in baking pan. Before baking, prepare Piquant sauce and pour over meatballs. Bake at 350º for 45 minutes.
(I love this sauce, so I usually double the Piquant sauce recipe)
