4 - 1 inch thick slices sourdough bread
3 cups vegetarian baked beans
4 T. olive oil
1 onion,diced
2 tsp. ground cumin
2 tsp. chili powder
1/2 tsp. onion powder
2 T.cornstarch
14 oz. firm tofu
8 oz. vegan shredded cheese

1.Preheat oven 450 º.
2.Drain block of tofu on plate between paper towels placing a heavy can on top. Let drain 10 minutes. Cut tofu into large cubes.
3.Heat beans. Set aside.
4.Heat oil in skillet... add onions....saute.
5.Combine cumin, chili powder, onion powder and cornstarch in bowl. Add cubed tofu and toss to mix.
6. Heat oil in skillet....add cubed tofu....saute 3-5 minutes until crispy......add to onions.
7. Arrange bread in a large baking dish.
8. Spoon beans over bread. Top with tofu.Top with cheese.
9.Bake 5-10 minutes.
