4 ears of corn
3 1/2 tbsp. butter, softened
1 c. water

Directions:
Directions:
Soak a large clay pot & lid in water for 10-15 minutes. Strip the leaves from the corn, but keep them attached at the base of each cob. Discard the corn silk. Rub each ear of corn with butter. Replace the leaves around each ear of corn. Place the corn in the pot & add the 1 c. water. Cover & place in a cold oven. Adjust the heat to 400° & cook for 40 minutes. If the corn you used was fresh to start with, it will taste sweeter than any you have ever eaten cooked in the standard stove top method!
